Project Overview

Our Show Package Design for Coke Studio Pakistan celebrates 15 years of captivating global audiences with the brilliance of Pakistani music, artists, and culture. The sequence closes with the Coke bottle in negative space, formed by instruments, symbolizing a vibrant fusion of music, culture, and brand essence.

Ideation

The reason to choose Coke Studio was that it is a brand within a Brand (Cocacola). We took the challenge of representing Coke Studio by reflecting traditional Pakistani music through a contemporary lens adding elements of Pakistani Cultural Identity as well as reflecting the parent brand Coca-Cola. The idea was to celebrate the classical Pakistani musical instruments as Coke Studio is starting its fifteenth season this year. We added secondary colors such as gold, crimson brown, and blue to the original primary red color of the brand to show celebration and lighting in the title.

Process

The idea was to celebrate classical Pakistani musical instruments as Coke Studio enters its fifteenth season this year. Initially, we experimented with morph animation to convey fluidity, but due to time constraints, we decided to retain only one section of frame-by-frame animation, animating the rest in a more efficient and streamlined way. Throughout the ideation and design process, we went through multiple iterations—adjusting the style several times and even changing half of the frames—to refine the visual language and ensure the final result aligned with our vision.

This showcases our thinking and design process. We simplified the patterns, opting instead for a music studio-inspired background. The final design embraces a livehouse aesthetic, aligning with the show's concept.

Retro

If we had more time, we would refine the transitions to make them smoother and more seamless. We would also adjust the trim paths on the instruments, adding sequencing and additional layers to enhance visual richness and rhythmic complexity.
